Reports & delivery
A report is built from the book for any closed period. Once you finalize it, the database refuses any change to it.
A monthly investor report is a record: the LP files it, compares it quarter over quarter, and uses it in their own reporting. That only works if the figures stay put. Reports are built and shared from Reports.
What you get#
- Monthly, quarterly and custom periodsReports for a calendar month, a quarter, or any custom date range.
- Period metrics at every levelNAV, P&L, returns, flows and cost basis per fund, wallet, position and asset, stored with the report.
- Branded viewsDashboard and Metrics views with your branding, in draft or published state. A published view is what your LPs open.
The reporting cycle#
- 01GeneratedBuilt from current data; can be refreshed
- 02FinalizedLocked: figures and overrides cannot change
- 03DeliveryPublish a branded view to LPs
- 04ArchivedKept as a record; cannot be unlocked
| Status | What can change |
|---|---|
| Generated | Everything. Refreshing recomputes it from current data. |
| Finalized | Nothing. The database rejects edits to the report, its period metrics, and any metric override targeting it. |
| Archived | Nothing, and it cannot be unlocked. |
How report returns are calculated#
The period return uses opening NAV plus half of net flows as its denominator, ITD return is ITD P&L over cost basis, and position returns link TWR across the period. Short periods are also annualised. Each report records the risk-free rate it was generated with. Formulas and caveats are in Metrics → Report period returns.
